Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the Year 2025
Report submitted on behalf of Accuris, including Techstreet Solutions Limited and Allium Canada Holding ULC pursuant to the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Canada).
Introduction
Accuris and its global family of companies (collectively “Accuris”) is committed to ensuring that we – and our suppliers – operate in compliance with all applicable laws as well as in accordance with the highest standards of ethical behavior, as outlined in the Accuris Business Code of Conduct. Accuris supports and respects the protection of internationally recognized human rights and endeavors to make sure that we are not complicit in human rights abuses. Accordingly, we do not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in our organization or supply chain.
Our business
Accuris is the leading aggregator and “one-stop-shop” for mission critical data and information pertaining to standards and other engineering content. Accuris solves strategic problems for engineering clients with integrated software and workflows. Accuris has more than 6,000 business and government customers.
Organizational structure
Accuris is a US tax-domiciled company incorporated in Delaware, headquartered in Colorado, with approximately 1,000 employees in 15 countries worldwide. More information about our offices can be found on our website at https://www.accuristech.com.
Our supply chain
Accuris’ supply chain largely consists of professional services providers such as standards development organizations, contractors, software services, and other data and content providers. Accuris also uses suppliers of IT, office equipment, facilities management, print production and publication distribution services.
Given the nature of Accuris’ business, we believe there is minimal risk of practices that support, facilitate or are complicit with modern slavery, within either Accuris or our supply chain. Nevertheless, we require that all suppliers with whom we do business agree to perform at the highest level of business and professional ethics, and ensure that they and their subcontractors comply with all applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking laws, including but not limited to the US Federal Acquisition Regulation Rule on Combating Trafficking in Persons, the UK Modern Slavery Act, section 13 of the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018, and the Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Canada). We have also embedded these expectations in our purchase order forms, supplier contracts, and onboarding forms.
Accuris policies on slavery and human trafficking
Accuris’ zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking is confirmed in many of our corporate policies and procedures, including our Business Code of Conduct, our Third Party/Vendor Code of Conduct and our Human Rights and Labor Practices policy. These documents articulate our commitment to respecting and promoting fundamental human rights, which we view as a key component of responsible corporate citizenship. In addition to supporting the fundamental principles contained in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we are committed to working with suppliers to help uphold ethical human rights standards.
Accuris’ due diligence procedures also address the risks of forced and child labour in relation to goods (including IT equipment, printed materials, and other tangible supplies) imported or distributed globally, including within Canada.
Accuris maintains a log of supplier attestations, training completion, and potential escalations. This data is used to evaluate effectiveness in meeting Canada’s requirements to prevent forced and child labour in supply chains.
Due diligence and further steps
Accuris has determined that the majority of its suppliers operate in areas considered to be at a low risk of supporting or being complicit in forced labor or human trafficking.
Accuris has implemented procedures to assess the risk of new vendors at onboarding and we require suppliers to affirm their commitment to eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking. In 2024, Accuris took the following steps and will continue these efforts in 2025 to:
- Ensure clear and effective communication with new and existing vendors regarding our commitment to compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and our zero-tolerance approach towards forced labor;
- Continue risk assessments of and, as necessary, additional engagement with suppliers; and
- Continue to promote an environment that encourages reporting concerns and protects whistleblowers.
Accuris evaluates the effectiveness of its actions to address modern slavery risks through ongoing vendor compliance checks, periodic internal audits, and policy reviews. We aim to strengthen these measures through supplier risk tiering and continuous supplier engagement in 2025.
This statement will be submitted to Public Safety Canada through its online portal and made available on our website in accordance with Canadian reporting obligations.
