Recently, we hosted an onsite workshop at the Saudi Electric Company headquarters in Riyadh – a great opportunity for engineers to learn more about the nuances of standards development.
From December 2-5, 2024, 21 standards engineers from the Saudi Electric Company participated in the Foundations for Standards Leadership course, led by Nicolas Fleury, former Secretary General of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). As one of the most respected figures in the field of standardization, Nicolas brought unparalleled expertise and insights to the attendees.
The course was designed to simplify the often-complex world of standardization. Participants explored the fundamentals of standards, their development process, and their strategic value for businesses. They gained practical knowledge about conformity assessment, certification, and fostering a culture of standards within their organizations. The program also provided actionable strategies for engaging in the development of standards and leveraging them for organizational growth and success.
